Thank you Kristi for such an interesting and insightful email on the
benefits of sewing. My 2 girls are aged 4 and 22 months… Well we have a basic second hand machine now and my older daughter loves sewing - she has learnt to thread it completely by herself and enjoys running the machine simply creating zigzag stitches everywhere!

I am a novice at sewing yet together we have completed your handbag, pillow and are now currently working on our nine patch pillow.
Your site is such a blessing to us  as I wanted my children to learn to sew but did not know how to start. It would have been difficult for me to attend classes and less effective for me to learn.

Thank you for offering this wonderful newsletter.  I already know how to sew, but I am enjoying your newsletter as it is helping me to show someone else the ropes.  It takes the pressure off of the results and really focuses on the process, making it more of a pleasure for both of us…

Hi Kristi,

I'd like to thank you so much for your valuable free sewing lessons.  I
have also purchased your e-book and am enjoying it with my girls…

I have been using your lessons to teach my own girls aged 5 and 8 with wonderful success.  It is so rewarding to be able to do this and I know it is because of your advice.

I used to allow perfection to limit my sewing but I don't anymore!  I let
myself be childlike with my girls as we sew, I really can't thank you enough.

I had a first sewing lesson with two little 8-year-old girls 2 weeks 
ago and we made your purse.

Thanks “sew” much for your informative newsletter. I have a 13 yr old
daughter who was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome (form of Autism) that is sewing for the first time. She made an envelope pillow… Blessings,

I've meant to write sooner.  I'm not sure how I ended up on your email  list but I'm so glad I did!  I recently retired, moved back to Indiana to  be closer to my children and grandkids and have in my mind to start teaching  children to sew.  I am a long time seamstress but to teach others would be  new to me. Your emails and instructions have been so helpful.  I've  looked online for books or instruction on teaching sewing to children and have  had no luck
finding anything - except from you!

"I have been printing off your emails since the very first time you sent me one.  I just wanted to say thanks.  I'm a little slow at things as I have Multiple Sclerosis.  I only tried to sew once in my younger years, when it didn't turn out the way it should have I never tried again...  Well my daughter of 30 bought a sewing machine and told me she was learning how to sew and that she found it easy.  So I got one about a year later and that's when I found your website.  I must say that this time around I'm finding it more interesting.  I have a lot more respect for the machine and a lot more confidence in myself too.  And I believe that it's also from your guidance.  Your step by step patterns are perfect for me.  I don't always understand what I read but your instructions are great".
